O.M.G.
Wow, tonight I took my son to Oshawa to watch Jon Tavares play his first OHL playoff game and was unable to watch the first couple periods of the critical back to back critical series with the high flying Sabres. When we left Oshawa at 9:30 I flicked on the radio broadcast of the game to find out the Leafs were playing great. I heard them score a couple quickies to start the 3rd and they were looking good for the 2 points with 16 mins left. Amazingly it all fell apart and 10 minutes later they were down a goal...I can hear all the Leaf bloggers frantically typing right now discussing what happened. I don't care to analyze it as it really is just plain sick. I just wish they didn't drag us along by not making any moves at the trade deadline, they really need to stop playing for mediocrity and actually suck for the next few years. Trade away all that is valuable for prospects and draft picks and gear up for 2012. That's right, totally suck for the next few years...that kid Tavares would look great in blue an white in 3 years and the 3 years of brutalness will actually be forgotten shortly there after. MLSE will still make the same amount of revenue so they don't lose a thing, the fans have suffered for 40 years anyway so what's a few more. At least give us something to look forward to, make a plan, a tough plan and stick to it. Damn it's a frustrating being a Leaf fan

Battle for the final spot
With a great win over those pesky Devils last night the Buds find themselves tied with the Stanley Cup defending champs for the 8th and final spot. Adding to the victory was Wade Belak's minute and a half punch up with Cam Janssen who I must admit I respect a lot more after that. For the past few weeks I like every other Leaf fan had him as public enemy number one, but he showed up last night ready to answer for his actions. On his first shift he decked Parrault with a beauty and on his second shift he welcomed fighting Belak, even waved off the linesmen after eating a few rights. He now is on my list of guys I hate but would love to see wearing the blue and white (along with Chris Neal, Ray "the Hammer" Emery, Bob Probert, etc).

Welcome to Leaf Report
This is officially the first post for me in a blog. After watching the Toronto Maple Leafs suffer for each and every one of my 38 years, I finally decided to do something about it. What is that? Well, something big...that's right, or should I say write ha ha, I'm going to write about my feellings and even post video's to try and break this wretched curse.
This posting is for test purposes and will have no value to anyone reading it except of course if you've just continued to read the previous posts all the way up and you now know you are at the end.
